As I’ve looked over the articles in this issue of our newsletter,
I am struck by a common
theme—one that I’ve also been seeing in all forms
of media, from consumer to technical. Apparently Kermit the Frog
would have an easier time these days for it has been easier--even
essential-- to be green.
Green, I’m learning, is healthy. And that’s
why I’m especially pleased that all of our “industry
solutions” involve healthier living. Our bottle cap sanitization
eliminates chemical usage while making consumer products cleaner.
Our mushroom enhancing technology offers consumers a “whole”
food source that is enhanced without additives or the sacrifice
of purity. And, as always, our pulsed UV technology, as typified
in our economical RC-250B introductory unit, is mercury and toxin
free. It ensures a safe product and it is also safe to use.
You may be sure I will be at the two conferences
noted in the newsletter. And I would be very pleased to meet you
there. I hope you will step up and introduce yourself and mention
this newsletter. I’d like to get to know you and your products.
And who knows? Perhaps we’ll even partner on a problem/solution
story of our own.

| You’ve heard about the curing power of pulsed
UV, but maybe you haven’t experienced it yet. Now’s
your chance! We’ve made it easy —at an affordable price
of $2,995— to try our introductory system–the RC-250B.
Give it a test run on your
applications that are especially heat sensitive. Since the RC-250B’s
energy is radiated in intermittent pulses, minimum heat is transmitted
to the substrates, and temperature-sensitive parts will be safe
from damage. This is especially good news if you work with fiber
optic connections, lens alignments, medical and bioscience applications,
potting encapsulation or printed circuit boards. Of course coil
termination, ink marking and plastic bonding are perfect for this
type of cure too.
The RC-250B’s hand-held wand, which contains the lamp head,
is an especially attractive feature, for it allows the user to precisely
position the light over the target area.
The RC-250B is part of an upgradable family, so you can add to
the introductory unit to make it bigger in use but not in size.
Try it. You’ll like it. For more technical specifications

Pulsed UV curing is our forte in the curing market.

Three out of four Americans have insufficient
Vitamin D, and deficiency levels are rising rapidly. How come? Dermatologists
have done an excellent job of raising the awareness of skin cancers,
but strong sunscreens
that can block up to 99% of ultraviolet radiation, also block beneficial
Vitamin D—the vitamin that promotes bone health and lessens
the risk of cardiovascular disease, cancers and autoimmune illnesses.
What responsible choices can a person make?
Make the choice to eat mushrooms with Vitamin D enhancement from
pulsed light!
The Dole Company
has discovered how to use UV light exposure to enhance the natural
Vitamin D2 in mushrooms. (Actually the mushrooms have relatively
high levels of ergosterol which converts to ergocalciferol--Vitamin
D2.) But Dole has installed pulsed UV light from Xenon Corp. in
its in-line manufacturing process and is using short bursts of light
to safely and significantly increase the health value of the humble
mushroom.

Xenon Corporation is “into” problem solving. So here’s
one to think about: How might beverages be bottled with sanitary
assurances without
the use of chemicals, which presently play a large role in the process?
Could pulsed UV light be a key player in the solution?
The answer is yes. (If it weren’t, you would be reading this.)
We’ve found a way to use pulsed UV light in the in-line sanitization
process of bottle caps. In several large bottling plants,(including
a major producer of orange juice) UV light has now replaced chemicals
such as peroxide.
So here’s to safer food and beverages! And here’s to
your good health! |

April 22-24 will see Media-Tech Europe 2009—the most prestigious
event in the media manufacturing world. Forum Messe in Frankfort,
Germany is the venue, and participants can look forward to a host
of Blu-ray technical seminars held in co-operation with the Blu-ray
Disc Association. The featured presenter will be Dr. Leonard
Schwab, CTO and Managing Director, speaking on the latest technical
developments, including a solution for in-line layer thickness measurements
directly after the coating process. To learn more about this show

Did you know that Xenon Corp’s pulsed light systems are used
by over 90% of the machines producing Blu-ray discs?
From May 3-6, 2009, The North American Mushroom Conference will
convene in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. This is an excellent
opportunity to learn first-hand about Xenon Corporation’s
solution-centric approach to one of the challenges in today’s
food industry. And if mushrooms aren’t your dish, you can
still discover how pulsed UV light can be creatively applied to
problem solving in a wide ranging array of industries. For more
information on this show click

Also from May 3-7 Xenon will be exhibiting at TechConnect World
Conference and Exp in Houston Texas. Learn more about this show
